Happy Days Dream Cars

Turning a Dream into Dream Cars

Even before he could drive, John Meyer dreamed of owning coupes and roadsters from the 20's and 30's. Then in the fall of 1956, when the new '57 Chevy appeared in the local Chevrolet dealership, he fell in love with the car that is still his favorite today. He and his wife, Helen now have two '57 Chevrolets and a wide variety of other classic cars. They are living proof that dreams can come true.

When they married in 1963, John's parents gave them a '57 Chevy hardtop which they drove until 1966 when they traded it for a new car (still sad to think about). Then in the early 80's, John acquired a '57 Chevy, 2-door hardtop as well as a '55 Chevy Sedan. Within a couple of years, he decided that this Happy Dream would have to wait, so he sold the cars. He gave his full-time attention to his family and career. John and Helen owned and operated several businesses throughout the years, yet continued to dream of owning a collection of classic cars.
Finally, their dream came true. In 1998, John and Helen bought their Dream Car - a Black 1957 Chevrolet convertible with red interior. The key to this car did a lot more than start the engine, it ignited an old flame within John that will burn forever.

After selling the last of his businesses in November of 2000, John’s dream became reality. Happy Days Dream Cars turned from an "idea" to an "address." John and Helen purchased what used to be a farm implement equipment dealership in Warrensburg, Mo in March 2001. They used their imagination to transform this workshop into one of the most beautiful Classic Car showrooms in the Midwest.

Since November of 2000, Happy Days Dream Cars has turned from a retirement hobby into a huge dealership with an inventory of over 50 cars. The 16,000 sq. ft. showroom is blessed with a gorgeous variety of Original Classics, Street Rods, Muscle Cars and Trucks.

John and Helen welcome you to enjoy their collection and, of course, drive your Dream Car home for the right price! As you look around and enjoy the Classics, you are sure to find your inner-child and reminisce through your Happy Days!
