The big block powered Shelby GT 500 joined the Shelby line-up in 1967 bringing racers success here in America and on Le Mans road courses abroad. In 1967, Car and Driver Magazine described the Shelby GT 500 as "An adults sports car." This first generation GT 500 is a very special automobile and this one has all the right characteristics: originality, quality, and authenticity (verified in Shelby Registry and Elite Marti Report). On top of all that, this is one fantastic looking and performing automobile! Prior to the Frame-Off Rotisserrie Restoration, this car was owned and maintained by an avid car collector and only had 49k original miles and has never seen rust.  Currently, the vehicle has only 14 test miles since the restoration was completed in July 2009.

The 1967 Shelby Mustangs were the last Shelby units produced directly by Carroll Shelby's shop located at the Los Angeles International Airport in the old North American Aviation Hangers on Imperial Highway. From there the operation moved to Livonia, Michigan and A.O. Smith handled production. Because of the pure Shelby craftsmanship the 1967 GT 500's are highly sought after by fine automobile collectors everywhere!
