1961 Plymouth Fury

When was the last time you saw one of these?

Approximately 10,000 of this rare and unique body style were ever sold, and only a mere hand full

have escaped the scrap pile over the past 50 years.

This stunning and rare Plymouth Fury 2 door hardtop has been completely restored to factory specifications with the factory correct Metallic Bronze paint and color coordinating factory original seat covers, door panels, and carpeting!

Some unique design features on the car are the “Typewriter” style push-button transmision selector, the Torpedo style tail and reverse lights and gorgeous sweeping roofline and smooth contours of the body. THIS is a car to get excited about!

All of the instruments are factory original including the AM radio and electric clock. It is interesting to note the futuristic design layout of the dash as one scopes out the interior.

Please note, a very rare feature with this car is also the factory optioned rear seat air conditioner. The system has been completely rebuilt and serviced with the newer 134a freon, and works perfectly.

All of the window glass is factory original and in excellent condition with the exception of the windshield, which is brand new.

The virtually rust free body was soda blasted down to bare metal and then professionally painted back to the factory original color. All chrome and stainless pieces have been redone to show quality.

Dayton chrome spoke rims and period correct 14 inch wide white wall tires have been added to create a popular nostalgic look. The entire drive train has been reconditioned to include a total rebuild on the original 318 cubic inch V8 motor, transmission, and rear end. (The odometer reads 16,634; actual original miles are unknown)

Dual exhaust and Edelbrock 4 barrel carburetor have been added

to improve overall performance.

The entire chassis has been rebuilt including front end components,

shock absorbers, and brakes on all four wheels.

If you are looking for a rare, unique, and very dependable automobile

that is guaranteed to turn heads and win trophies, THIS IS IT !
